About:
Abduco provides session management for terminal applications, allowing processes to be detached from a terminal and reattached later. It enables persistent sessions that survive disconnections and can be shared among multiple users. This tool is particularly useful for remote work and managing long-running tasks.
Key Features:
  • Session persistence and detachment
  • Simple and lightweight design
  • Multi-user session sharing
  • VT100 and screen/tmux compatibility
Use Cases:
  • Keeping long-running processes alive after SSH disconnects
  • Collaborative debugging or monitoring of terminal applications
  • Managing multiple terminal sessions without a complex multiplexer
Alternatives:
  • tmux – More feature-rich but heavier and more complex
  • screen – Older, more widely available, but with a more arcane interface
