About:
Anka Build Cloud Controller and Registry provides a centralized management interface and API for macOS virtual machines in CI/CD environments. It enables teams to orchestrate, schedule, and distribute Anka VMs across a build cluster. Its main value is creating reproducible, fast, and isolated macOS build environments for software development pipelines.
|
Key Features:
- Centralized VM orchestration and scheduling
- REST API for integration with CI/CD tools
- Secure registry for storing and versioning VM templates
- Web-based GUI for monitoring and management
- Role-based access control for team collaboration
|
Use Cases:
- Managing macOS CI/CD infrastructure for iOS/macOS app development
- Providing reproducible, ephemeral macOS build environments for testing
|
Alternatives:
-
vsphere
– VMware's broader enterprise virtualization platform, less specialized for macOS CI/CD
-
jenkins
– General CI/CD automation server that can be extended with plugins for VMs, but lacks native macOS VM management
