About:
ecFlow UI is a graphical user interface for the ecFlow workflow management system. It provides a visual representation of task dependencies and status, allowing users to monitor and control complex scientific workflows. This tool is essential for managing large-scale data processing and forecasting systems used in meteorology.
|
Key Features:
- Real-time monitoring of workflow status and task progression
- Interactive tree and time-based visualization of job dependencies
- Ability to edit, suspend, and restart workflows dynamically
- Client-server architecture for remote system management
|
Use Cases:
- Monitoring weather forecast model execution pipelines
- Managing complex climate data processing workflows
- Debugging and visualizing dependencies in scientific computing tasks
|
Alternatives:
-
Cylc
– Cylc is a modern workflow scheduler often used with Rose, focusing on cycling systems, whereas ecFlow is heavily used in operational meteorology.
-
Apache Airflow
– Airflow is a general-purpose workflow orchestrator defined in Python, while ecFlow uses a dedicated definition syntax and is optimized for HPC environments.
