About:
Last Resort is a Unicode-compliant fallback font designed to display any character when a requested font is unavailable. It provides visual representations for all Unicode code points, ensuring that users never see a 'tofu' box character. This font is essential for developers and systems that need to handle unknown or unsupported glyphs gracefully.
Key Features:
  • Covers all Unicode code points
  • Provides visual glyphs for unknown characters
  • Prevents 'tofu' (replacement character) display
  • Maintains consistent metrics for fallback use
Use Cases:
  • Debugging missing font glyphs in software development
  • System-level fallback for unsupported characters
Alternatives:
  • Noto Sans – Noto aims for full coverage but is a standard font; Last Resort is specifically a last-resort fallback.
