About: GPT fdisk (gdisk) is a set of text-mode partitioning tools for disks using the Globally Unique Identifier (GUID) Partition Table (GPT) layout. It provides functionality equivalent to the traditional MBR-based fdisk utility but for modern GPT disks. This allows for more partitions, larger disk sizes, and more robust partitioning schemes compared to legacy MBR. |
