About:
Libpano is a foundational library used for stitching multiple photographs into seamless panoramic images. It handles the complex geometric transformations and blending required to combine overlapping shots into a single wide-format composition. This library powers the stitching engine in popular tools like Hugin and PTGui.

Key Features:

Image stitching and alignment algorithms
Support for various projection formats (equirectangular, spherical, etc.)
Geometric correction and distortion handling
Seamless blending and exposure compensation

Use Cases:

Creating 360-degree virtual tours from standard photos
Stitching wide-angle landscape or architectural shots
Developing custom panoramic software applications

Alternatives:

OpenCV – A general computer vision library that can be used for stitching but requires more manual implementation than Libpano's specialized tools.
