About:
The Mbt tool enables developers to build and manage Multi-Target Applications (MTAs) for the SAP Cloud Platform. It processes the mtar.yaml configuration to assemble application modules and manage dependencies. This streamlines the creation of complex cloud-native applications composed of different technology stacks.
|
Key Features:
- Builds MTAR archives from source modules
- Supports dependency resolution and processing
- Provides CLI for local development workflows
- Integrates with SAP BTP deployment processes
|
Use Cases:
- Developing hybrid applications combining Java, Node.js, and UI5 modules
- Automating build pipelines for SAP Cloud Platform applications
- Managing build dependencies for complex multi-module projects
|
Alternatives:
-
Cloud MTA Build Tool (mbt)
– Official npm package providing similar functionality, often used in CI/CD environments
