About:
Pichon is a desktop search utility designed to work with Icons8's extensive icon library. It allows users to quickly find, preview, and manage icons directly from their desktop without needing a web browser. The tool streamlines the workflow for designers and developers by providing instant access to a vast collection of assets.
Key Features:
  • Offline access to the Icons8 icon library
  • Quick search and filtering capabilities
  • Drag-and-drop functionality into design applications
  • Support for multiple icon formats (PNG, SVG, PDF)
Use Cases:
  • Designers needing rapid access to consistent iconography for UI/UX projects
  • Developers looking for specific icons to integrate into application interfaces
Alternatives:
  • Noun Project – Offers a broader range of user-generated icons but lacks the deep integration of a dedicated desktop app like Pichon.
  • Flaticon – Provides a massive library but primarily operates through a web interface or browser extension.
