About:
Reveal is an advanced in-app iOS debugging tool that allows developers to inspect their application's view hierarchy in real-time. It connects directly to the running app in the simulator or on a device, providing a live 3D view of the UI structure. This enables rapid iteration and debugging of complex layouts without the need for constant recompilation.
|
Key Features:
- Live view hierarchy inspection
- 3D visualizations of UI layers
- Real-time property editing
- Xcode and AppCode integration
|
Use Cases:
- Debugging complex Auto Layout constraints
- Inspecting view properties at runtime
- Identifying rendering performance issues
|
Alternatives:
-
Xcode View Debugger
– Reveal offers a more interactive and persistent live view than the standard Xcode debugger.
-
Flex
– Flex is an in-app debugging tool, but Reveal provides a more robust and desktop-centric interface.
