uuu (Universal Update Utility) is the next-generation replacement for the MFGTool suite, designed for deploying firmware and operating system images to NXP i.MX System-on-Chip devices. It operates in both a command-line interface for automation and a GUI mode for interactive use. The tool communicates with devices in a pre-boot USB recovery mode (Fastboot) to flash partitions, memory, and bootloaders.
