It offers a classic gameplay experience enhanced with modern features like ghost pieces, hold mechanics, and detailed statistics. It provides a lightweight, distraction-free gaming option for developers and system administrators.
Key Features:
  • Customizable gameplay and visuals via config files
  • Supports hold piece and ghost piece mechanics
  • Detailed score tracking and statistics
  • Lightweight and runs in any terminal
Use Cases:
  • Quick gaming sessions during work breaks
  • Terminal-based entertainment on remote servers
Alternatives:
  • bastet – Bastet is a more malicious version of Tetris that chooses the worst possible next block, whereas Yetris offers standard randomization and high customizability.
  • ninvaders – Ninvaders provides Space Invaders gameplay rather than Tetris, but serves a similar purpose for terminal-based arcade gaming.
