About:
TTY-Share is a command-line tool that allows users to share their terminal sessions securely over the Internet. It creates a temporary, web-based interface so others can view or interact with your shell without needing SSH access. This makes it ideal for quick debugging, collaborative troubleshooting, or live demonstrations.
Key Features:
  • Encrypted terminal sharing via WebSockets
  • No SSH configuration required
  • Temporary and secure session links
  • Cross-platform client support
Use Cases:
  • Live debugging sessions with remote colleagues
  • Interactive software demos or tutorials
  • Quickly granting temporary shell access for support
Alternatives:
  • tmate – tmate uses SSH keys and creates persistent sessions, whereas tty-share uses web links for ephemeral access.
  • teleconsole – Teleconsole also provides quick sharing but relies on SSH agents; tty-share offers a browser-based viewer.
